I became a therapist because I’m interested in not only what we feel, but also what drives us. I’m especially drawn to the moments when reactions happen faster than thought, and familiar patterns take over despite knowing they aren’t helping in the way we need.

Much of my work lives in the tension between wanting things to change and not wanting to lose yourself in the process. In therapy, we will slow those moments down, approach them with honesty and care, and build new ways of responding that create freedom rather than more rules.

I’m a DBT-informed therapist, meaning my work is grounded in the core principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

At the heart of this approach is dialectics, the idea that two things can be true at the same time. Real change often begins with acceptance. That can look like slowing down, making space for what is already here, and understanding your patterns without judgment. From there, we work toward change that is intentional, flexible and sustainable.

I do not follow a rigid script. I use DBT as a framework to balance acceptance and change, honor where you are and support movement toward what comes next. In sessions, we look at the patterns that keep showing up, trace where they come from, and practice small, concrete ways to interrupt them. Sometimes this means slowing down to notice what is happening internally. Other times, it means taking action even (and especially) when that feels uncomfortable.

Behavioral work here is not rigid or mechanical. It is responsive, collaborative and grounded in real life, shaped by your values, your nervous system, and what actually feels possible. Therapy with me is active, collaborative and compassionate. I will be honest with you, and I will encourage you to be honest with yourself in a way that feels direct and supportive.
